It’s almost time for the biannual Grand Avenue Festival. This festival takes place on the 3rd Sunday of May and October and has been bringing entertainment to Escondido’s Grand Ave since 1989. This May it will be on May 15, 2016. The Grand Avenue Festival is the 2nd largest single day fair in California and is expected to have an attendance of over 60,000 guests. Guests will have the opportunity to visit over 500 vendors offering arts, crafts, international foods and local produce at the farmers market.
The line up for the community stage features dancers, baton twirlers, a rock band, and martial artists. If your child is age 6 or below and likes to sing, there will be an open mic from 2pm to 2:45pm. Please bring your CD or iPod. The event will span 7 blocks of Grand Avenue which has many wonderful shops and restaurants to visit as well. The Escondido Chamber of Commerce is the sponsor for this event.
