Starting April 1st, classic cars will be cruisin’ down Grand Ave. every Friday from 5pm – 9pm until September 30th. 2016 will be Cruisin’ Grand’s 17th season. If you have great memories of hot rods and other classic vehicles or want to introduce your kids to the great cars of yesterday, you won’t want to miss this fun event. All of the cars in the cruise are 1973 and earlier. Cruisin’ Grand started in 2000 and has grown to be one of the top car cruises in the nation. In recent seasons, attendance has been estimated at over 200,000.
The Escondido community has come together to support this event year after year. Come and join us as we admire the cars and have a bite at one of the great restaurants on Grand Avenue and other great eateries in downtown Escondido. Watching the variety of cars cruise by and eating aren’t the only things to enjoy. Cruisin’ Grand also features a DJ playing classic tunes, contests, theme nights and awards for standout cars. If you live in Escondido, call up a neighbor in the North County. If you have friends in South San Diego, invite them up for a great time. They won’t be disappointed!
