Fillings

When a tooth is damaged by decay, a crack or fracture, a filling may be required to repair the tooth. This filling is composed of a material called composite resin. The damaged tooth structure is first removed; then a bonding agent is used to chemically bond the composite resin to the tooth. This type of filling material allows us to conserve as much natural tooth structure as possible while only removing the damaged tissue.
